GOLDEN VALLEY, Minn. — The Health Fair 11 St. Patrick’s Day Blood Drive at KARE 11 has been relocated to Memorial Blood Centers’ Plymouth donor center at 3021 Harbor Lane. It's just 10 minutes from KARE 11 studios.

Even as the impact of COVID-19 evolves, the need for donated blood is ongoing. There are still people being treated for cancer, sickle cell anemia, traumatic injuries, and other illnesses who need donated blood to survive. Blood drives remain a safe and easy way for healthy, eligible donors to give blood for patients in our local hospitals.

  • WHAT: Health Fair 11 Blood Drive
  • WHEN: Tuesday, March 17 | 7:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m.
  • WHERE: Memorial Blood Centers Plymouth Center | 3021 Harbor Lane, Plymouth, MN 55447
  • Appointments not necessary, but donation times can be reserved at www.mbc.org/kare11 .

All blood types are needed—especially O negative (O-) and O positive (O+). Donors at the MBC Plymouth donor center on March 17 will have a chance to win a gift card and merchandise from Kip’s Irish Pub, and a one-night stay at Marriott Minneapolis West.

Donors with appointments at this drive will be contacted by Memorial Blood Centers to ensure that they are still able to keep their appointment at the new drive location. Donors who are unable to relocate are encouraged to reschedule their donations at one of MBC’s 6 metro-area donor centers.

Memorial Blood Centers has been saving lives since 1948 as an independent nonprofit. MBC operates 10 donor centers and conducts hundreds of blood drives each month. For more information, call 1-888-GIVE-BLD (1-888-448-3253) or visit MBC.ORG. Connect with MBC on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and LinkedIn.

During disruptive times, it's important for healthy people to take action to keep life-saving blood supplies stocked. Keep calm and carry on! Do your part!
