ROCHESTER, Minn. (KTTC) – Mark your calendars for an inspiring event that brings our communities together for a vital cause.
The 71st Annual Fifth District Eagles Cancer Telethon returns January 18-19, delivering 20 hours of non-stop talent, testimonials and opportunities to make a difference.
Beginning at 8 p.m. on January 18, the telethon can be attended in person at the Mayo Civic Center, watched on broadcast on KTTC, or found on KTTC’s livestream. The event will be live for the full 20 hours.
During the live event, you can participate in a number of activities while supporting the vital research that goes into fighting cancer and cheer on your favorite acts and talents live!

The NOVA Academy for Cosmetology will return again to give haircuts for donations to the telethon.
A booth will be set up for people to paint wooden ribbons in memory of and to honor someone they know who struggles with cancer.
On Sunday, a candlelight vigil will be held with the opportunity to tie ribbons to the ribbon wall.

Goldie the Eagle (the Telethon’s mascot) will be joined by her buddies Boomer and Bruiser to say hi to the kids and cheer on the fight against cancer.
Donations will be collected up to, through, and after the completion of the telethon so it’s never too late to give!
