Duluth nonprofit honored with community award
DULUTH, Minn. (Northern News Now) - A group dedicated to helping victims of sexual assault is being honored with a community award.
The Junior League of Duluth (JLD) selected Program for Aid to Victims of Sexual Assault (PAVSA) as the recipient of this year’s Community Award.
The annual award recognizes an organization that makes an impact in the community.
“PAVSA’s work is truly inspiring. Their mission aligns with our vision of creating a more compassionate and equitable community, and we are grateful for the incredible impact they make every day,” said Lauren Farden, JLD President. “Together, we can continue to build a community where every individual feels supported and empowered.”
PAVSA is a nonprofit crisis center in St. Louis County that helps victims cope with the aftermath of sexual violence, including trafficking and exploitation, free of charge.
